👤Brief Introduction:
Dr. Zia Ullah (Ph.D., Electrical Engineering) is an overseas high-level talent appointed as an Associate Professor at School of Electric Power, Shanxi University, China and internationally recognized scholar. He is actively involved in advanced scientific research in the areas of power control, power system optimization, distribution system planning and analysis, as well as the integration and optimization of renewable energy systems, energy storage, distributed generation (DGs), electric vehicles (EVs), and hybrid energy systems.
Dr. Zia earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in 2020 from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), one of China’s top-ranked institutions. He subsequently continued at HUST as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow for over three years, where he made significant contributions to advanced research in power and energy systems.
Dr. Zia is an accomplished researcher with an h-index of 22+, having authored more than 65 peer-reviewed publications, including 55 SCI-indexed journal articles, three book chapters, and six papers presented at international conferences.
He is also an Associate Editor for the Ain Shams Engineering Journal (Elsevier, IF: 6, Q1) and Smart Grid and Sustainable Energy (Springer). He is also a Senior Member of IEEE, a distinction that reflects his outstanding contributions and recognized stature within the global engineering community. Also, he is regular potential reviewer for several top ranked journals, including Renewable Energy, Energy, Journal of Energy Storage, Elsevier, Wiley, Frontiers, IEEE Access, Nature Communications, and IEEE Transactions, highlighting his academic expertise and reputation.
Currently, he serves as a faculty member and research supervisor at the School of Electric Power, Civil Engineering, and Architecture at Shanxi University, where he mentors students and leads research initiatives to drive innovation in the renewable integrated power systems and energy sector.
